SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME

SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!

Spring in Temba and Sh'Ka
The native animals of both cities become more active again as well and especially the birbs residing around Temba's beach produce a noise that can be picked up even in certain parts of the city. Would it be wise to disturb them?
And while the weather has clearly turned warmer and the sun shows notably more presence, spring remains comparably wet. Strong showers of sudden rain are very likely to surprise an exploring He Row when they least expect them.
Explore
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working and power has been restored to be reliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has proven to be home to verious harmful creatures; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

"And you're not my first choice to meet in this sorry ass city either, just so you know. I hear Carver and the other jocks talk about you, about how you have that cult shit. Wouldn't put it past you to be a real freak."
no subject
"Well then- maybe you should watch who you're shoving around?" He just can't fucking help himself. Has to be funny. Has to egg people on. No matter how many times it ends badly.
no subject
"You think this shit is funny?" he yells, turning and going right back to Eddie. But of course, this isn't just for him to loom over the outcast. No, he rams his boot into Eddie's side hard. "I hope you didn't just fucking doom my stepsister and her brat friends bringing me here you cultist fucker!"
Yeah, Billy is obviously mad with all bite to back up his bark. But there's something else lying under his words, even as he turns and slams out of the hotel like a hurricane.
no subject
He's smart enough at least to keep his mouth shut this time, and he huffs in frustration at the door as it slams loudly behind Hargrove, holding his side as he pushes to sit up. He takes some bitter satisfaction for a moment in the thought that Billy's pushed right back out into that pouring rain. Serves him fucking right.
But-...he thinks of Max, and of Hargrove's parting words, hating that any part of him is wanting to go after the fucker. He curses himself, muttering under his breath about how stupid this is even as he's pushing to his feet, opening up the door and squinting through the sheets of rain to try and call after him.
"Don't kill yourself out of spite, idiot- you want to get sick?!...Your sister's fine! They're all fine!"
no subject
He hears Munson slam the door open behind him, and call out to him. Billy turns on heel to look back at him. Chest rises and falls with the exertion and frustration of dealing with the freak. Only he hears that Max is actually here, and she's fine. The 'they' Munson refers to must mean her idiotic friends. Billy starts back towards the hotel. This time he stops out of reach of Eddie, hands clenching into fists.
Billy might be healing but it's clear that he's still a threat. "I'm not going to fucking kill myself Munson. I've been through too much shit to let rain kill me. I'm not a God damn pussy like you. Now where's Max?"
no subject
Mostly he just wants to make sure the idiot lives to see that reunion with Max. He's not sure whether or not he deserves it or not, but he guesses that's up for Max to decide. It's not like he hasn't clung to his own destructive family members before, he understands the impulse.
"Yeah, I heard a bit about that," he says, and then smirks easily when he's called a pussy, not looking bothered by the taunt. "I would hope she's in her room so she's not soaked through like us, but I haven't seen her since this morning. I don't control where she goes."
no subject
Part of him knows he wants to find Max and berate her as he usually does, but another part wants to see for himself that she's safe. He doesn't know what happens after he left in Starcourt. Billy has a sneaking suspicion what's going to happen when he gets back and wants to know if she makes it at least.
That he doesn't die for nothing.
Rain sloshes down him and he fails at suppressing a shiver. He realizes that maybe he should at least go into the hotel, dry off, so he doesn't end up back in the hospital. He does not want to see the inside of that place again anytime soon.
"Where the hell am I supposed to go? I don't know how any of this shit works here anyways." He raises and lowers his arms in a sort of defeat, then drags a hand through his hair to keep some of the rain out of his in vain.
no subject
"I can get you dried off and lend you some shit for now. Find you a room or whatever," he offers, not exactly enthusiastically, but he can't just let the guy wander around and die his first day here.
no subject
For whatever it's worth, he does follow Eddie back into the hotel. He leaves puddles on the floor and so he hugs his arms to his chest to ward off the shivers.
"I just pick a room here?" Billy finally just gives in and wrenches at least his soaked shirt off, revealing a wet body and bandages. More water on the floor as he wrings it out. "Saw Steve on the beach. You say Max is here. Who else is here?"
no subject
"You can. Some people live round here. Some people live on the ships. A bunch of people just claim an abandoned building and make it into their place," Eddie shrugs, and tosses over a change of clothes, "Mm, that's all the people from our world. Everyone else is from other universes. Other Earths. Other planets. Half of them have powers. There's some talking animals. It's...trippy. But just the 4 of us from Hawkins so far."
no subject
Billy starts mopping up the water from the floor. He just feel the phantom breath of his dad breathing on his neck until it was cleaned before folding it and throwing it onto the bed.
"Great. More fucking freaks. Just what I need to deal with here," and he sounds offended by it. "You got that bitch in the doctor's coat, and that other doctor that uses fucking magic, now I gotta factor in other planets and talking animals. Fucking fantastic. You're not pulling my god damn leg are you, Munson?"
no subject
"What's freaky about the doctor lady? And no, I swear. Hand to god or whatever," he says, making a mock attempt at the sign of the cross before giving up. "I'm not looking so freaky now, huh?"
no subject
"Not that she's freaky, just that she's a bitch." A brow raises as Eddie flails his hand in front of his chest and head. What was he doing? The sign of the cross? Whatever it was, it wasn't close to that. He huffs and sits on the bed, arms braced on his knees. Then that feels too familiar to when he wasn't in control and he sits up instead. "You're still a God damn freak and I've got my eye on you. You mess with me or my stepsister and I will beat your face in."
Bold words to give to someone showing him hospitality but Billy didn't care at the moment. And wouldn't, until he was back out in the rain.
no subject
"You've been here like 5 minutes, you really going to start calling one of the few women here a bitch? And you're still going to pull more of them. How is life this unfair?"
Eddie doesn't look particularly troubled by the threat for someone who literally just got a taste of said beating. But people threaten that shit all the time. "Define 'mess with'?" he asks with a smirk.
no subject
He huffs upwards to blow a stubborn curl out of his face. But that smirked question gets a flash of blue again. "You mess with her I will drag you by your hair up to the top floor of this building and throw you out the window myself. Is that clear, Freak?" Which didn't sound like too much of a threat as it sounded like an absolute promise.
no subject
"...Crystal," Eddie says with a nod, sense enough not to joke about when met with that sort of promise. "Red's a good kid, I wouldn't mess with her."
no subject
He stops at the door, a serious look on his face. "Don't come looking for me, Munson."
