SUMMER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Hot Summer Time!
If hunting for food isn't what you came here for, then sunbathing is always an option. Even if the color seems odd, this sand, also, likes to go literally everywhere.
Simply hopping into the water is also rarely a bad idea. This close to the coast there are no harmful creatures in the water, so whether you brought a swim suit, hop in fully clothed or have no care in the world about who might stumble over you naked, Agra 10's ocean is yours to play in.
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

how dare you make me choose- Summer Time!
Save the emotional reunion for the real deal :-POf course Steve was out here, should've guessed. Where ever he could get himself into trouble, or beat, or half drowned. Bucky strolled along the sand, kicking away one of those lobsters before it could get too close, and smiling fondly after Steve. This was how he still pictured him, all scrawny and more brave than someone his size had any right to be.
"You're gonna catch your death out there, you know that?" he called in a teasing voice.
Bahahahahahha
"Are you just jealous 'cause you'll rust now?" Teasing right back as always.
"'Sides, with those weird lobsters, the bugs, and everything else I've heard about, I think the water might be the safest place around!"
evil
It was like the last 80 years had never happened, the banter as easy as it had ever been. And he had to Mother Hen- a stiff breeze could knock Steve out for a week, and he was far too headstrong to look after himself. It's why they got long so well.
"Yeah, that's just 'cause we can't see what's out there to be worried about it."
no subject
He hadn't gotten the whole story behind the arm yet but he figured it couldn't be anything good. Still, it wasn't in their relationship to baby each other. Bucky might guard him like a pit bull but he never coddled. Warned and advised, sure, but never coddled. It was part of how their relationship got as strong as it did. Steve wasn't about to drop it now.
"Admit it: you sink like a rock now with all that steel and you don't wanna get embarrassed when I gotta save you. What would the dames think?"
no subject
"Mm, you got me. That's it. You go ahead, I'll call in the cavalry if you get swept out to sea," he promised.
Joining him would show off the scars where flesh met metal, and Bucky wasn't really prepared for Steve to see him like that.
"Sides, there's not a lotta dames round here to disappoint, in case you didn't notice."
no subject
"I did notice that, actually. We get any sorta reason for how come? Seems odd."
His smirk returned.
" 'sides, who are ya spinning around the dance floor? You need someone."
no subject
"Maybe they're sexist?" he offered with a glance towards the sky, not really seeming to believe in that explanation, and he chuckled softly, shaking his head.
"Not doing much dancing these days, Steve." There was a bit of a wistful twinge on his face. That was a lifetime ago for him, but here with Steve...he missed it.
no subject
"And you're just accepting that? You? Bucky Barnes?"
He tried a smile again and a gentle tease, "C'mon. I bet you lost that arm spinning half the ladies in France around. Sure you could get someone to dance around here.
"If you need me to, I'll even go alongside to make you look better."
no subject
He twisted a playful face. "...I could. It's not a question of could. And you know, last time I tried to bring you dancing you took off."
no subject
"I watched you show off enough for a lifetime, pal," he said fondly. "But I promise next time I'll stick around."
no subject
"Gotta find you a date first. Then you can make it up to me."
no subject
"You...you're joking, right? I couldn't...get a date with half the...city deprived of fellas. Now there's...maybe four women and you think this is my moment?"
no subject
"Hey I found you dates back home, you're the one who ran out on 'em," he argued and shrugged a shoulder, "M'sure I could rustle someone up that wouldn't mind dancing with a twerp for a night."
no subject
He laughed again and flipped onto his back to float and watch the sky.
"I'm good not dancin'. I always had more fun just watching you. I might not break toes when I trod on'em but it still isn't pleasant for her. Ya know?"
