SUMMER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Hot Summer Time!
If hunting for food isn't what you came here for, then sunbathing is always an option. Even if the color seems odd, this sand, also, likes to go literally everywhere.
Simply hopping into the water is also rarely a bad idea. This close to the coast there are no harmful creatures in the water, so whether you brought a swim suit, hop in fully clothed or have no care in the world about who might stumble over you naked, Agra 10's ocean is yours to play in.
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

"I have been here for nearly eight months now. We have made do with things the best we can. I attempt to provide for the safety of others. Therefore the training area is important to me."
no subject
"And how long has this been going on for?" Asking the questions, as she could verify through further investigation and knowledge whether it was truthful or not. "Is there much to be wary of?"
Her mind went to Thanos, and his influence.
no subject
So yes, this had been going on for a while.
"There are predatory animals, and sometimes bad things happen. Like hordes of giant spiders, or magic gone wrong. I still find it more... peaceful than the rest of my life has been. Which is saying much for a Kree soldier."
So so she felt. After all, she'd lived for the time of the Kree-Skrull war.
no subject
Her face was still thoughtful, working that information over. Hoards of giant spiders don't sound out of the ordinary for her, as for magic gone wrong... Their time on Ego hadn't been the the best of endings. Really, it sounded much like every day life to her, minus some possible issues.
"So you are Kree." Confirming her earlier thoughts that hadn't been expressed. There's a half debate, before she spoke. "I'm Gamora."
no subject
There were so many questions she could ask.
"And if you are, I would know something. Are you Gamora, daughter of Thanos, or Gamora, Guardian of the Galaxy? For one would be inherently my enemy, and I would not assist her in being fit to fight. The other I would wish to know. The Alliance believes in the work of the Guardians, after all."
no subject
Her lips pursed at the mention of Gamora, daughter of Thanos. Once, begrudgingly, with no real consent on her own part. She had hated it, every moment, only able to break free years later. Her chin tipped up, a cold determination in her eyes and on her face. "I am no daughter of his."
no subject
"Well then, Gamora, you are a friend of mine. Provided you have no issue with the Kree-Skrull Alliance or its Accuser."
Then, after a moment of thought of how Quill had reacted to her title, she is quick to amend that.
"I am not like Ronan."
no subject
"Alliance?" As her hand moved to take hers in a shake. She knew the term, that the Kree military had a force. "I should hope not, or you too would be an enemy of the Guardians of the Galaxy."
no subject
"I am glad then, that we are friends, and not enemies," she answered, then pulled away to gesture to a building rising just down the street from them. "It is in there that I have set up training. Given you are the legendary Gamora, I do not expect it to be to your standards. But it may help"
Blowing off steam? Lauri-Ell could offer that. A place to keep up with someone that was supposed to be as good as she was? No, Lauri-Ell doubted she could provide that in the low tech situation she was in.
no subject
Releasing some pent up energy and keeping in shape was always something that Gamora did. She may not revel in the fight like some others, but she would always seek to be prepared, or as best as she could be. She had been under the thumb of Thanos for years, and knew that bringing down the Titan would be no easy task.
"It matters little. An avenue to practice is all I require, whether it be a building, or something a place by myself."
no subject
"There are two obstacle courses," Lauri-Ell noted as she took them to the building and pushed in. "Down two halls and then we will be in the space. I would invite you to enjoy them."
no subject
"What manner of obstacles?" Not that it would make her balk, but she was still curious about it. She glanced around the entry as she entered into the building, stalking after her.
no subject
It was an order that had lost its nobility.
"I have attempting one made in the style of Kree training worlds. It is very much a work in progress. Keith has been assisting me with other styles he knows. The other was created by Clarice based on something called Quan-tea-co's facilities. It seems to be more focused on running and climbing walls with ropes over them. Humans have very strange concepts of what they may run into on a battle field. I have never known a wall I needed to scale to just have a rope over the edge."
no subject
In one way, compared to all other threats, they paled to Thanos.
"Humans have many strange concepts overall, not just in a battle field." There was exasperation in her voice, but there was also a hint of warmth. Say what one would, but Peter had worked his way into her life, inch by grudging inch. "But I have never heard of this... tea company thing."
no subject
"I have not either. Clarice spoke to me of it. She is very wise for a human. She has taught me of shopping and non-uniform clothes and other things," Lauri-Ell said with a smile. "It has been nice."
no subject
"And does she have a fixation with their songs and their movies of the Bacon man?"
no subject
"I do not know that she does. I haven't heard human music."
no subject
"Ah. My companion. He has a thorough interest in his music. That, and these strange stories that he watched growing up."

Regaring her, she arched one eye, although her boots were more of a process. Yet, she bent, working on the buckles and bindings. "Are there many who have been brought here?"
no subject
Including Quill. If she knew Gamora was thinking of Quill, she would mention the man positively, like how he taught her volleyball. Instead she started to stretch.
"I have heard many tales of the skill of the Gamora of this world. I hope it means your skill will test me greatly!"
no subject
The galaxy was huge, there was no denying that. As many places as Gamora had seen, it was but a drop of water in an ocean. Flicking her gaze to her, Gamora studied her for a lingering moment, before shifting to warm up her own muscles. "And who has spoken these tales?"
no subject
Who has spoken them? Lauri-Ell smiles.
"Many people. The Guardians of the Galaxy are heroes!"
no subject
Rolling her head slightly side to side, she comments, "I do not believe I am familiar with this Stark or Buckys."
Names, she assumes, although one never can tell. "Back where you are from? Or has Quill been announcing his presence her that greatly that all now know?"
