SUMMER TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Hot Summer Time!
If hunting for food isn't what you came here for, then sunbathing is always an option. Even if the color seems odd, this sand, also, likes to go literally everywhere.
Simply hopping into the water is also rarely a bad idea. This close to the coast there are no harmful creatures in the water, so whether you brought a swim suit, hop in fully clothed or have no care in the world about who might stumble over you naked, Agra 10's ocean is yours to play in.
Explore the city!
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Maybe look around anyway. Or try your hand at some repairs?
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

Luke Skywalker | Star Wars
Luke doesn't mind sand and doesn't mind using the Force to safely collect food, so he's down on the beach collecting lobsters into a crate to euthanise safely and painlessly for food later. He's careful about which ones he takes, nothing young, nothing pregnant or with eggs, conscious to not upset the ecosystem balance.
On occasion, he stops to peer into tide pools and then just sits there, looking into them, apparently lost in thought.
Explore the City
The natural reaction for any Jedi Knight in a new situation is to immediately find the highest thing possible to survey from and then recklessly leap from it back to the ground, or find the deepest place to go and use their lightsaber to navigate their way there. Luke isn't at this stage in exploring yet, he's still on foot and scrambling over ruins, occasionally lifting hills of rubble with a gesture to look under them or pass by. He tries not to just throw things, since the presence of the other residents isn't always immediately apparent but accidents can happen...
Network
At the very least, Luke is comfortable with holo technology and variants thereof. He can manage the screen fine and get himself properly in view. "Hey, I know there has to be others out there. Would someone mind sending some directions for where I should be checking out first? Like... where the Jedi are would be a great start?"
Network
"The Jedi have a building they call their temple; you can find it by going west from the fountain in the dead middle of the city. It's the best place to find them; Ezra or Obi-Wan are probably around there. You're from the same world as them?"

He doesn't mean like a legal guardian. He means literally.

She's sort of excited to have another Jedi around. As a group, they've proven the most receptive to the telepathy her people use as easily as speaking.

Explooore
In this instance it happens to be getting hit by a rock as he springs down from the upper floor of a formerly multi-story building. A startled "Aw-hkk!!" accompanies the crunch of shattering rock and clatter as the Exo gets knocked off balance and goes sprawling down the other side of a rubble pile.

Cayde rubs at his head, scowling a bit. "Oh no, it's fine- didn't almost get my head taken off by flying debris." He rolls his neck, making to dust off his leathers as he tried to get back on his feet. "Actually I would be very upset if that happened."
no subject
The fact that this person is not organic doesn't really matter. He still offers out his left hand to help pull him upright, if he'll take it. "I would be too. Upset. About taking off your head. Which wouldn't mean much to you. I really am sorry."

City
What he didn’t quite expect though was the flying debris. The Force alerting him to it as he approached. The rocks suddenly halting in midair with the motion of his own hand and setting them down again.
“It’s usually considered quite rude to be throwing rocks about without a care for where they land. Especially for a Jedi.”
The chiding is gentle, meant to get the young man’s attention rather than entirely scold. Was he a Jedi though? There’s not much else he could be. Not with the way he felt in the Force.
no subject
"I- I'm sorry. I didn't think there was anyone around."
no subject
“A Jedi should always be aware of their surroundings, especially in unfamiliar territory. But considering the circumstances, it’s understandable.”
Folding his hands in his sleeves, he steps closer with a warm smile.
“Hello Luke.”
no subject
"Ben!" He half jumps and half skids down the rubble and there's an intention to just sort of fling himself into Ben's arms for a hug, because it's an almost familiar face in an alien and uninviting territory. "You're not dead!"

"I'm one of the Jedi. I'm Ezra. Padawan Ezra Bridger. Where are you exactly? Give me a few minutes and I'll come meet you."
He could track the other man down with the Force, sure, but asking does save time.

From locals, wildlife or his master.

Jedi Luke Skywalker.
He knows who Luke is. He knows several members of Luke's family. (He wonders how much Luke knows about some of them.) But Luke, and Leia, and their mother are already here, although he has not yet heard Padme give the twins a last name, out loud. He worries about what's going to happen to Padme and her children - more than befits a Jedi, he's aware.
This place is very strange.
He keeps a grin on his face. "No trouble, not from Master Kenobi, if that's what you're worried about. He just doesn't pay as much attention to the network."

She smiles, "Hello."

Pushing that aside, she shakes her head a little. "No. I'm just here for some sun and to enjoy the water a little. Taking a bit of a break for me." She pauses, "I'm sorry, have we met?"
no subject
"You remind me of a princess I know." He says it softly and fondly. "I'm Luke." He offers her his hand, the gloved right hand.

"There's four Jedi in the city. Obi-wan Kenobi, and three students. Obi-wan's been working on setting up a temple in the middle of the city."

Huh.
"There is so much in your statement to unpack, but instead I'm going to go with, you're a Mandalorian?"

"I am, yes. The only one in the city, aside from my foundling."
