FALL TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Fall in Temba and Sh'Ka
Now Temba has decidedly fewer trees than Sh'Ka. And while still numerous in both cities, Temba's trees are also much smaller and may not necessarily of the same species. The leaves in Temba fall gently. The leaves in Sh'Ka, however? They turn to stone while still attached to their branches and suddenly fall to the floor from high, high up above.
Thud.
They shatter once they hit the ground, which may explain why you haven't really seen any leaf-shaped rocks around. You still may want to try and avoid getting hit too much by this slowly increasing hail of stone leaves.
Explore
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working, but power is intermittent and unreliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has yet to be fully explored; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
The two currently crewless ships are open for anyone to step inside and have a look around, maybe even use for a nap.
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

"I'm sorry, have we met before?" he sends telepathically, just in case he needs to take more time to think on what he can say to a human.
There was quite a large amount of androids in Jericho. Well, before Connor's intervention at least. So even if he knew for certain that this was an android he wouldn't necessarily recognize him.

He takes Markus' silence as being stunned. Maybe Markus knew him at a different point or something where they're from. "I never expected to see another android here, been almost a whole fucking year with stupid humans-" And he has to stop before he goes into one of his little anti-human rants.
"Anyways. Uh. Of all the androids they'd send here, didn't think they'd send our leader here of all people. Maybe one of the Jerries, but not you." He holds out his hand this time for a shake, but the skin melts back. A similar design like an android, though there's a ring that glows yellow.
[ooc: if markus grasps york's hand, he will be authorized to link with york, giving markus the information 'york stark; y25']

"I was in Detroit just a minute ago, I don't know what you're talking about."
He's about to graps York's hand, but he's reluctant.
"Who is 'they'? Who do you think sent me here?"
no subject
"This isn’t any system I know of, and the aliens that brought us here are… mixed to say the least. Some are good, others not." He frowns, looking up at the leader. "Missed the datapoint at the fountain? You touch it and explains everything. It’s weird, but doesn’t mess your system up at least. Just data transfer."
no subject
He grabs York's hand and receives the information. He himself does transmit the coordinates to Jericho.
"In case you need a safe place once we're out of here."
no subject
He keeps the connection with their hands to send over the information. The night had changed everything. Androids milling about with York talking about something with some Jerries. The military storming in. Androids dying, surrendering and York was running, jumping through an opening and plunging into the water before there was a bright, water filtered explosion before the information went dark.
"That happened. Happens, if you’re from the past." The hand finally slips away, breaking connection and he shoves it the hoodie pouch. He feels that emulation of anger starting to surge through his circuits and had to temper it down.
no subject
He could swear he only had Cyberlife androids on board.
"I'm sorry, I have no memory of you."
no subject
He reaches down to pull up the hoodie. Part of his black undershirt goes up before he fixes it, a quick glimpse of uncovered white shell, then he shows the teal colored LED shining through the shirt. "I didn’t interact with you a lot, I just stuck with the Jerries."
no subject
"...Is there something I can do for you?"
no subject
He pauses, bring up the map in the communicator. "We’re in the resident towers. North of here is the town square, where people can be found. I’m the only person from where we’re from, but there are a couple of other non-humans here."
no subject
He listens carefully.
"How have you been adjusting to this?"
no subject
"It's... better here than Detroit," York finally manages to say. "I'm still wary of the humans here, but I find some of them are okay. I would rather be home at Jericho, but at least here, no one's trying to kill us or take our humanity away." The smaller android leads them out to street level, pulling his hood up and shoving his hands into the pouch.
"So when are you from in Detroit anyways?"
no subject
He's half relieved and half concerned when York tells him that here is better than Detroit.
"I...I was in the middle of battle, to free androids from camps...Josh just died in front of me."
He sighs, shaking his head.
"They'll think I have abandoned them. If they were to die now without me, I...I couldn't live with it."
apologies for the delay in replying <3
"I don't know anything about that. Maybe you're actually ahead of where I am then." He keeps an even pace with Markus. "I don't think so. If you just... disappeared to get here while in the middle of doing something, they'll know something happened." Especially if Josh had died in front of Markus. "Notably if you've led us all that far without faltering, everyone would know that something happened that was out of your control."
no subject
no subject
He holds that gaze as long as Markus will. "...Maybe they thought someone like me needed you here just as much as they need you back home. I don't fucking know." It sounds stupid and he pulls the hood of his garment up.
no subject
Although reluctantly, he gently pats his shoulder.
"Then promise me that if there is any problem you will come to me, alright? I don't want anyone to be needlessly hurt or sacrificed, no matter where we are."
