Welcome to March. It's time for our monthly IC announcements.
Well now that was quite the experience we had back in February. One might say that the snows still affect us now. While there's no more snow on the ground at this point, there is still a pleasant, chill feeling in the air in the mornings, and sometimes the ground is lightly frosted in the brief time between dawn and the point when the sun is up enough to melt it. But what truly marks the arrival of spring is the growth of new life, something visible around both cities. Life is returning, and that's a relief after how powerful that blizzard was. Luckily the rains that are starting the season aren't heavy or too frequent, that won't start until the tail end of the month, so enjoy your slowly warming temperatures and clear skies while they last.
In Temba the city finds itself awash in new growth, though luckily this time it doesn't seem like it's out to get anyone. There are shoots of new grasses, lots of small flowers arriving, and something new and wonderful. It seems there are some new, safe to eat plants in the area. If you didn't know better, it would almost seem like they were deliberately planted here, because there has been nothing like them in Temba before, and seem taller than they should be if they were newly planted. And what does it mean that one of the snowberry bushes has cute little paintings on them in a tiny size of... Mushrooms? And are those painted images of Dustin and Iron Man? Maybe you're seeing things.
As for Sh'Ka, the return of life here goes on a more predictable path. The great trees are starting to get their light gray buds that will soon become the terrible stone leaves. The grasses remain small and lushly thick. The bloodvines are sending out new shoots to try and catch the returning animal life. All in all, life goes on and the world awakens to the spring around you.
It should also be noted that animal life is returning with a lot of eager energy. Animals are once again seen in great numbers in the cities. In Temba people not only get to see the abundance of life, but it seems like a new herd of Glownies has arrived, these ones with a slightly pinker cast to their coats. Oh, and those living in the southern part of the city, especially in the restored residential houses and The Towers might find themselves a bit annoyed at the raucous noise coming from... The forest between Temba and the shore? Yep, the Birbs are noisy at this time of the year. Hope you can handle it.
Meanwhile in Sh'Ka it seems... no, it can't be, can it? But it is! Two falls ago the better part of the Bantha herd brought from Coruscant went missing when they broke some fences in their area. And yet here they seem to be, except the herd is larger? How did they get all the way over to Sh'Ka? Well, that's a mystery for another day, but as they're all mature, maybe it's time to recollect them and use the things for milk and meat. Getting them back may be a task, though. They don't fit on the train... I guess maybe it's time to drive some cattle back onto the ships!
Let's start our summary by catching up with the most obvious thing that came to pass in February: the storm. This time the storm took a whole new form of punishment for our He Rows, manifesting as a terrible blizzard that trapped He Rows all over the cities. They were forced to face their great shames (or at least things they should have been shameful of), and perhaps this actually strengthened bonds between the He Rows instead of tearing them down. Only time will properly tell on that front.
Yet the experience was not a universal one. Some might remember that there was a team that went and did some creative redecorating of the Sh'Ka Palace. These He Rows experienced something else, a growing paranoia that the structures around the might not be safe. Toward the end of the storm an apparition appeared to them, warning that their punishment was yet to come. Of course, it seems that many of them are either not worried or excited for what might come next. Who knows if that will be healthy reactions for them.
At least some seem genuinely concerned.
In community growth news, the Agrii have been welcoming so many new He Rows lately. It seems like the Agrii might be gearing up for something, with all of these new talents brought on board. Or maybe one of their little ones found the 'summon he row' button and kept slamming on it. The Agrii, and perhaps other He Rows alike, should look forward to how they might contribute to the community. Already we're seeing some interesting results with hospital improvements and some pointed questions about the process of arrival and returning home. And who knows, maybe all that hoarding tendancy will save you all some day.

Someone please a) dissuade him, and b) maybe people want to join him in being a metaphorical cowboy in trying to round some up? Like, he doesn't even have to be successful. Just for laughter sake? Maybe they can even get so into the idea that we can ask the Soup Lies box for cowboy hats and see what comes of it.
