SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME

SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Spring in Temba and Sh'Ka
The native animals of both cities become more active again as well and especially the birbs residing around Temba's beach produce a noise that can be picked up even in certain parts of the city. Would it be wise to disturb them?
And while the weather has clearly turned warmer and the sun shows notably more presence, spring remains comparably wet. Strong showers of sudden rain are very likely to surprise an exploring He Row when they least expect them.
Explore
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working and power has been restored to be reliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has proven to be home to verious harmful creatures; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

Was this just the afterlife?
"Max? Seriously? Is she okay?!"
no subject
"She's good. She's fine. I got her a new cassette player in case shit starts here. I've been keeping an eye on her. She's going to flip out when she finds out you're here."
no subject
"She's here. Oh my God. You...you and Max. Jesus." He scrubs both hands over his face, still smiling. "Okay, Munson. Okay. You're forgiven. But just by the skin of your teeth and with the promise you're not gonna do it again."
no subject
"I mean, I'll do my best. This shit has a way of finding me," he teases, bumping his shoulder against Steve's. "...We should get you dried off."
no subject
"I am pretty new to this place still so you could probably tell me anything. Might as well make good use of my gullibility."
no subject
"If we cut back to the hotel, I've got some stuff," Eddie assures, gesturing out through the rain, "Change of clothes at least. And uh...when things dry off out here I can show you the spaceships." He pointedly arches his brows, a playful look on his face, inviting Steve to guess whether he's telling the truth.
no subject
"So, should we talk about this? How I just keep ending up wearing your clothes? If you hate my fashion, you can just say it, dude."
no subject
He gives an amused laugh. "I hate your fashion, man," he replies easily, "But you do rock my shit surprisingly well. Maybe you have a little bit of metalhead in you."
Smooth, Munson
He chuckles a little. "I guess your clothes are pretty cool, objectively. Leather and denim. Worse things to have in me than metalhead."
The smoothest~
"Heh..." Eddie waggles his brows suggestively, invading Steve's personal space even more than he already is. Being a flirt with anything and anyone has it's advantages. It's hard to tell when he means it.
no subject
For a second Steve is quiet, smiling and glancing over at Eddie as they walk. Finally, he manages to say in a soft, quiet voice, "I really missed you, Eddie. I feel like I was just getting to know you and I liked what I was learning. And then it was over."
no subject
"..." Eddie's steps falter slightly, glancing back to Steve and trying to keep the surprise from showing on his face. He doesn't do a great job of it, and can't stop a sad sort of smile. If only it hadn't taken this to make them actually get to know each other.
"I was digging getting to know the real you too," he mutters, "...sorry for being such an idiot all those years," he adds with a small smirk. And then, to try and offer up some false hope- "And, hey- I'm all good now, so.... It doesn't have to be over." They can pretend Eddie'll come back home with him some day, good as new.
no subject
He sighs and shakes his head. He knows the hope is false just as much as Eddie does but he's not about to point it out. "Yeah. Yeah, we get another shot, right? The upside to kidnapping."
no subject
"Right? Not traumatic at all," he teases gently.
no subject
Maybe he paid less attention than he thought.
"Whatever. We were young...er. And we're smarter now. So, all in the past, right? We can let that high school shit go."
no subject
He cracks a wistful smirk at that. "I still haven't graduated, so..." he notes, as though that gives him free range to hold onto whatever stupid shit he wants. There's a twinge of regret behind the grin though He's never going to get that stupid diploma, after putting up with three fucking years in that place.
no subject
"What did you have left before you graduated? A...history test or something? How about we just make you some sort of final to make up for it? I'm sure we can write up a diploma here for you to put on your wall. And then you too can be qualified for a dead-end job at a video store!"
no subject
He considers Steve's idea with a small smile. It's not the same, obviously, but hell- it'd mean more than getting one from Principal Higgins.
"Folks'd be so proud," he jokes, but he can't help but grin, "...that'd be all right. I could be into that."
no subject
"1352?"
no subject
"Mm...sounds right?" Eddie replies uncertainly. There's a reason this is his third try at this damn course. That and- "Columbus is a fucking dick though, so who cares? I wrote a paper about it last year and O'Donnell fucking failed me."
no subject
It's a weird thought and it's been a weird enough day as it is. He lets it go for now.
"Wait. He was? But he has the whole holiday. Are you sure?"
no subject
"Oh my god, YES. SUCH a DICK," Eddie confirms passionately, and he shows he can manage well enough with history so long as it's something he's interested in, ranting about the man the rest of the way back to the hotel without even realizing.
no subject
"Jesus fucking Christ. Why do we have a holiday for him at all?!"
Steve, horrified, is following Eddie like he is a Pied Piper. "What the fuck? And how could she have failed you when you know that much about this? Your whole thing there proves you know what you're talking about. What was her problem?"
no subject
He sighs and rolls his eyes with a shrug, "I was supposed to write about his ~ positive~ contributions. Pretty sure she said it was 'Un-American'."
"This is it-" he adds, gesturing to the building and shaking off his coat as they head inside. "My rooms just up here."
no subject
Which wasn't fair at all. The idea that he only passed because of that and Eddie failed for the same work is pretty shitty. But nothing he can do about it now.
Steve looks up at the building and nods. "Sure." He follows behind, shivering a little now that he's out of the rain and is starting to dry. "Can't wait to see what you've done with the place."
