SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME

SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Spring in Temba and Sh'Ka
The native animals of both cities become more active again as well and especially the birbs residing around Temba's beach produce a noise that can be picked up even in certain parts of the city. Would it be wise to disturb them?
And while the weather has clearly turned warmer and the sun shows notably more presence, spring remains comparably wet. Strong showers of sudden rain are very likely to surprise an exploring He Row when they least expect them.
Explore
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working and power has been restored to be reliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has proven to be home to verious harmful creatures; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

Jesus.
"No," he says, voice a little strained. "That is exactly what happened at home, too." He smirks, hoping the sarcasm gets across. Reaching out, he grabs Eddie's shoulder and gives it a hard squeeze.
"It was a little different, man," he admits. "But you're here now."
no subject
"Sorry I didn't listen, man..." he adds, glancing up with an apologetic frown. "How uh...how much later are you from? You got everyone out?"
no subject
"No, I didn't get everyone out," he said. "The town got torn into pieces and Max is still in a coma. And you..." He looks up, angrier now than he had been before. "I told you to get out. Don't be cute. Don't be a hero. Why was that the moment you decided to be a fucking rebel?
no subject
Steve's anger brings a bit of heat his to face, and he toes at the ground with a defensive shrug. "...I don't follow instructions well," he tries to joke, but his hearts not quite into it. "...I was sick of running, Steve."
no subject
"Dustin was with you, man. He's been through enough. You have no idea what it's been like for him to carry that shit. He shouldn't have had to see that."
Finally Steve pulls back but the anger is still there. "You should have run. You should have made it and made every idiot in Hawkins know you helped save their asses. We shouldn't..." He exhales in a rush. "We shouldn't have to mourn you, dude. You deserved better."
no subject
His brows lower faintly at the notion that he was someone Steve cared about, and his gaze drops all together at the mention of Dustin.
"...He wasn't supposed to-" he argues weakly, face scrunching as he tries not to feel the full crushing weight of guilt. He never meant for Dustin to see him like that. He'd tried...
"Hawkins made up their mind about me even before any of this shit happened, Harrington. They were never going to believe I wasn't guilty." He tries to shake his head, whether to the notion of them mourning him, or to himself deserving better isn't entirely clear, throat tight.
no subject
"We would have stood beside you. Hopper...Hopper is alive and he would have supported you. We could have done something." He's not confident though and he sounds it. Shit was so complicated. Why was everything always so complicated. "You should have made it. You shouldn't have been dragged into it to begin with. It shouldn't have been you to die because of this bullshit."
no subject
"If some one had to, I'm the obvious choice, Harrington. And...I bought us a few more minutes. Doesn't seem like it did much good, but...you know..." Eddie gives a tired gesture, and fiddles with his fingers.
no subject
He paces in a small circle, crossing back into the rain and returning to the shelter after getting a second dose of pouring water. It's enough to cool him off, he guesses, because when he looks back at Eddie all he feels now is that familiar ache of grief. Grief and the small flickering light of gratitude. He just wishes Dustin could see him, too.
"You did probably save Henderson's life. So I should at least thank you for that." He points a finger at him, other hand on his hip. "But don't think that means I am saying I support your decision, dude. Okay?"
no subject
He pushes his hair back while Steve paces, and he's able to manage a small smirk by the time that finger's pointing at him accusingly, raising his palms in mock surrender.
"What if I told you something guaranteed to cheer you up, would you forgive me then?" he asks with a confident glint in his eye.
no subject
"But yeah. You cheer me up, you're forgiven. Knock yourself out."
no subject
He leans in close, tilts his head and reveals with a grin- "...Max is here."
no subject
Was this just the afterlife?
"Max? Seriously? Is she okay?!"
no subject
"She's good. She's fine. I got her a new cassette player in case shit starts here. I've been keeping an eye on her. She's going to flip out when she finds out you're here."
no subject
"She's here. Oh my God. You...you and Max. Jesus." He scrubs both hands over his face, still smiling. "Okay, Munson. Okay. You're forgiven. But just by the skin of your teeth and with the promise you're not gonna do it again."
no subject
"I mean, I'll do my best. This shit has a way of finding me," he teases, bumping his shoulder against Steve's. "...We should get you dried off."
no subject
"I am pretty new to this place still so you could probably tell me anything. Might as well make good use of my gullibility."
no subject
"If we cut back to the hotel, I've got some stuff," Eddie assures, gesturing out through the rain, "Change of clothes at least. And uh...when things dry off out here I can show you the spaceships." He pointedly arches his brows, a playful look on his face, inviting Steve to guess whether he's telling the truth.
no subject
"So, should we talk about this? How I just keep ending up wearing your clothes? If you hate my fashion, you can just say it, dude."
no subject
He gives an amused laugh. "I hate your fashion, man," he replies easily, "But you do rock my shit surprisingly well. Maybe you have a little bit of metalhead in you."
Smooth, Munson
He chuckles a little. "I guess your clothes are pretty cool, objectively. Leather and denim. Worse things to have in me than metalhead."
The smoothest~
"Heh..." Eddie waggles his brows suggestively, invading Steve's personal space even more than he already is. Being a flirt with anything and anyone has it's advantages. It's hard to tell when he means it.
no subject
For a second Steve is quiet, smiling and glancing over at Eddie as they walk. Finally, he manages to say in a soft, quiet voice, "I really missed you, Eddie. I feel like I was just getting to know you and I liked what I was learning. And then it was over."
no subject
"..." Eddie's steps falter slightly, glancing back to Steve and trying to keep the surprise from showing on his face. He doesn't do a great job of it, and can't stop a sad sort of smile. If only it hadn't taken this to make them actually get to know each other.
"I was digging getting to know the real you too," he mutters, "...sorry for being such an idiot all those years," he adds with a small smirk. And then, to try and offer up some false hope- "And, hey- I'm all good now, so.... It doesn't have to be over." They can pretend Eddie'll come back home with him some day, good as new.
no subject
He sighs and shakes his head. He knows the hope is false just as much as Eddie does but he's not about to point it out. "Yeah. Yeah, we get another shot, right? The upside to kidnapping."
