SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME

SPRING TEST DRIVE MEME
Application FAQ | Taken Characters | Reserves | Application
Welcome to the Current Test Drive for The Revival Project!
This game is a spin-off from the closed The Drift Fleet game. For more information about the game, including more details on the setting, please check out the FAQ here or the premise here.
A thread on the TDM will be required for all applications. Please view the FAQ for information about how this works. Any questions about the game please direct to the comment section of the FAQ as well.
If you are a Drift Fleet alumni bringing your character from the game, please label your character as 'DFAU' on your top level. Also, keep in mind you have complete flexibility on how your character comes here. They could be taken before endgame, after endgame, two years after, one year before, etc. It's up to you! If you want to completely restart your character, they're not considered DFAU anymore and won't need the label.
So go! Explore Agra 10! And, as always, HAVE FUN!
Thread ideas:
Spring in Temba and Sh'Ka
The native animals of both cities become more active again as well and especially the birbs residing around Temba's beach produce a noise that can be picked up even in certain parts of the city. Would it be wise to disturb them?
And while the weather has clearly turned warmer and the sun shows notably more presence, spring remains comparably wet. Strong showers of sudden rain are very likely to surprise an exploring He Row when they least expect them.
Explore
Most of the buildings are run down and have clearly been abandoned for years; fortunately, the water treatment center appears to be working and power has been restored to be reliable. What used to be stores or places to live in lies in ruins, but there may still be something to scavenge among the rubble. Do you want to risk a swim in the flooded area that has turned into a deep lake that has proven to be home to verious harmful creatures; or does it draw you to some of the more prominent and partially restored buildings, such as the hotel, the hospital or the amphitheater.
If you are lucky, you might even stumble over The Deep End, the bar located on one of the mid-levels of the tower residences in one of the residence towers. Unfortunately no bright neon signs can lead you there, but it does exist.
Visit the spaceships!
Try the network!
There be storms...
Should you step inside the storm, or even get lost in it, it will show ghosts of people you know and those you don't. It drains you of any super-human abilities and tries its best to keep you from getting to its origin. Are you going to try anyways? Or are you going to chase the whispers of people from your past? Maybe you will simply find yourself calling for help or stumble across another lost soul in need of assistance.

Steve Harrington | Stranger Things
Steve, unfortunately, is not all that surprised at finding himself in another insane situation. After waking up at the fountain and getting shit blasted into his brain, he just sort of rolls with it. He's got his bat covered in nails resting on his shoulder and that is enough to make him feel like he will probably not die as he walks around. At the very least none of the new animals have faces like a flower of death. He'll take that as a win.
Steve has only walked for about five minutes, trying to see if he can find someone, when he startles at something hitting his head. He whips around, looking up to see if something had fallen. And something had:
Rain.
It takes seconds from then for the sky to open up and sheets of water to pour down. Even running for cover, Steve is soaked almost immediately, hair plastered to his face and head. And no Fabrege shampoo or Farrah Fawcett hairspray to be found.
"You've gotta be kidding me. Couldn't even get an hour?"
[Beach]
It's been too long since he's seen the ocean. And sure, this isn't one he's familiar with and the lobsters are apparently angry assholes, but it is still amazing to be on a beach.
He closes his eyes and just enjoys the sound of the water and the feel of the breeze. Soaks up the peace of being close to a body of water without a demon hellmouth at the bottom of it.
Or he tries to, but the damn birbs are making it difficult.
Steve opens his eyes and lets out a long sigh before just flopping to the ground so he can sit. "Just keep those green things away from me and it's fine," he offers as a deal to the birbs. "But if you feel like shutting up, don't let me stop you..."
He groans a little. "Rather be listening to Dustin's crap than this..."
[Network]
Has anyone else around here seen enormous mosquitoes or have my concussions finally caught up with me?

Though actually, gotta clarify. Did it look like an actual mosquito but really big, or more like a huge, six legged snake with mosquito wings and little stabby bitey mouth thing. Because 'mosquito but big' is a Moscazo, and the other is a NOPE! Exclamation mark included in the name on that. For obvious reasons.
no subject
Wait. ARE they death creatures? Should I be running from them or something?
And why are they called NOPE! ?
no subject
And dude, it was clearly a moscazo. You can't see a NOPE! and not understand why they are named what they are.
no subject
[ Dustin never stopped talking about that shit. ]
Yeah, okay. I'll take the rescue. I don't know what the moscazo or NOPE! are, really, but I don't want to.

Spring Time
Eddie blinks water from his face as he glares up at the sky like it's personally offended him, cursing and trying to pull his jacket up over his head as a makeshift cover as he makes a run for it.
And then a familiar figure makes him forget the rain all together, blinking in shock before a relieved smile grows and he waves dumbly as he slows before him.
"...Almost didn't recognize you without your signature hair," he teases breathlessly, trying to keep things light.
no subject
But here Eddie is. Alive. Smiling and teasing like nothing fucking happened. And just like that the rain is forgotten.
Steve lets the bat fall to the ground as he rushes forward and pulls Eddie into a tight hug. He's solid and real and it's been awhile since Steve felt like he got a win. He has one now.
"Munson... Jesus Christ. How...? How are you here?"
no subject
"You won't believe me-" Eddie murmurs, half laughing at the words echoing from their past together.
no subject
He definitely is holding on too long. But can Eddie blame him? The guy bled out within the week and Steve...well, Steve had liked the guy. Had definitely not wanted to see him dead. To find him alive and healthy? Safe, maybe?
When he finally pulls away, his eyes are shining but he quickly rubbed his nose and cleared his throat to push it all down. No need to make this whole thing more emotional than it already was.
"Seriously, dude... I am pretty sure after what I just saw at that fountain I would believe unicorns came to pick you up." His smile widens. "Maybe not unicorns. Dragons, definitely."
no subject
It's a surprise to see Harrington's eyes shining like that, and Eddie momentarily presses his lips together. That might be his answer right there as to whether or not he makes it home again, but it isn't like he couldn't have guessed the outcome. His lips quirk in a reassuring way, and he shrugs a shoulder.
"Uh, well. Aliens, first off. Which you know. They pulled me away from Henderson, and I nearly bleed out in the snow, but uh- this dude with a metal suit flew me to the hospital, and some magic guy managed save me. So, uh...I guess...that's not how things happen back home, huh?" Damn, why's his voice gone all scratchy and tight all the sudden....? He tries to laugh it off.
no subject
Jesus.
"No," he says, voice a little strained. "That is exactly what happened at home, too." He smirks, hoping the sarcasm gets across. Reaching out, he grabs Eddie's shoulder and gives it a hard squeeze.
"It was a little different, man," he admits. "But you're here now."
no subject
"Sorry I didn't listen, man..." he adds, glancing up with an apologetic frown. "How uh...how much later are you from? You got everyone out?"
no subject
"No, I didn't get everyone out," he said. "The town got torn into pieces and Max is still in a coma. And you..." He looks up, angrier now than he had been before. "I told you to get out. Don't be cute. Don't be a hero. Why was that the moment you decided to be a fucking rebel?

Re: Network
Max?! Max, is that you?
no subject
[Not knowing if he and the others had made it out of the Upside Down safely has been one of the things that has kept her up at night since she got here.]
no subject
[ It occurs to him that Max might not know about what happened to her. Maybe she is from before all the Vecna crap even happened. Either way, it's not gonna be a fun conversation to tell someone they died, graphically. That they're in a coma and who knows if they'll ever come out.
He smiles wide at her and pushes the shock and desperate relief away. ]
I am great, now. I think I am over in the Flood Plain? That's what the map is saying anyway. Where are you?
no subject
Okay. I'm -- at this like, rundown hotel.
[She moves her tablet so he can see the room she's in.]
I'll come your way.
no subject
[ Steve's face hurts with how much he is smiling now. He can't wait to see her. Actually give her a hug and confirm she's safe and sound. Suddenly being the babysitter isn't so bad. At least not when Mike wasn't around.]
I can meet you somewhere so you don't have to go as far?
no subject
[She's not sure what to make of how much he's smiling right now. He doesn't usually look this happy to see her??]
I don't want you to get lost.
no subject
How long have you been here? I just...I saw you yesterday back in Hawkins...
